Department of Human Rights Monitoring in the Provision of Psychiatric Care

Main responsibilities:

  • To monitor, study, and analyze problematic issues related to mental health human rights violations.
  • To prepare analytics and information on issues related to mental health human rights violations.
  • To take part in the development and improvement of the legal framework for mental health human rights protection in compliance with the international and national human rights treaties, as well as the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
  • To participate in organizing and running educational activities to ensure mental health human rights.
  • To analyze and forecast the efficiency and status of responses aimed at observing mental health human rights.
  • To cooperate with governmental, non-governmental, and international organizations in analyzing the situation with mental health human rights observance.
